As you all know, Year 6 are busy working hard in preparation for the 2017 SATs tests. The children have been really keen to complete extra practice on these papers at home. Below are the links to practice papers that you can work on together at home. If you need any further guidance or have any questions about these papers, please feel free to come in and ask!
Welcome back to school!
We hope you are feeling ready to start another exciting term in Year 6! We had a fantastic first half term and we are sure that this one will be no different.
Just before half term we were lucky enough to visit the Mary Rose Museum in the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard. This visit taught us so much about the history of the Royal Navy, how ships and men were used, how to make a cannon fire, as well as giving us a chance to actually see the Mary Rose herself. We also wanted to say thank you to all of the Year 6 children. You were a credit to the school on this visit, with even members of the public commenting on how well behaved and considerate you were. Well done Year 6!
We also have our Maritime Artwork on display in the Year 6 wing area, so if you haven't already seen it, come and take a look!
Here are some pictures from our day for you to enjoy!
Team Year 6!
Welcome to the Shark class page!
We have had a great start to the new school year and it was lovely to meet so many of you at the 'Meet the Teacher' evenings recently.
We have so much to look forward to this term including a fantastic trip to the Mary Rose Museum as part of our history curriculum, which is all about the history of Portsmouth and the Navy. A letter will be coming home shortly with further information on this.
In other exciting news, we have been working on seascapes in Art and these will soon be ready for display as part of our Year 6 Exhibition.
Check back soon for photos from our trip and to see some of the brilliant artwork from our exhibition.
