Children in Need - Friday 19th November
This year the Bidbury Community will be coming together to support the BBC Children In Need appeal on Friday 19th November. We have made the decision to support this charity as well as our own family in need.
Both schools have come together to raise money for a child currently in Year 4 who has been diagnosed with Adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD). ALD is a rare inherited disorder treated at Great Ormond Street Hospital affecting the adrenal glands and white matter of the brain, causing a progressive loss of physical and mental skills. Part of the money raised from the non-school uniform will be donated to Alex TLC.
Alex TLC is a trusted and experienced organisation offering support and information for all those affected by a genetic leukodystrophy.
Children and staff are able to come to school in non-uniform and we ask for donations to be made towards the appeal. This year's theme is: "Be Bright, Be Bold, Be Beautiful!".
