Higher Level Teaching Assistant
This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person to join Bidbury Junior School.
We are a friendly and welcoming school who are looking to appoint a proactive and enthusiastic HLTA who is passionate about supporting children to ensure the best possible outcomes. We are looking for someone who is flexible in their approach to work across the school.
The perfect applicant will be delivering lessons set by the class teacher and/ or following a set scheme. This will be as part of regular PPA release, management release time or staff absence. You will be also delivering small group interventions mainly to upper KS2 Children.
This role is a great stepping stone for those who have the ambition to become a qualified teacher.
The successful candidate will…
- have a level 4 qualification / HLTA status or other appropriate qualification is required along with GCSE grade C or equivalent in English and Mathematics
- have experience of working with children in Primary / Junior Schools
- be happy to teach whole class sessions as per contract
- able to motivate and engage all children
- be able to use their initiative and be resourceful
- be a strong team membe
- have patience and strong communication skills
- has a good understanding of safeguarding procedures
- have strong behaviour management
