Safeguarding and Child Protection 

 

We take the safety of our children very seriously. We make every effort to provide a safe and welcoming environment underpinned by a culture of openness where both children and adults feel secure, able to talk and believe that they are being listened to. We have clear policies in place to support our safeguarding practice and maintain an attitude of "it could happen here". 

 

At Bidbury Junior School, we are committed to the safety and happiness of all our pupils. If you are concerned about a child, please ask to talk to one of our Safeguarding Team. 

 

The Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) is Miss Gardiner.

 

The Deputy DSLs are Mr Mahmud (Administration Manager), Mrs Hunter (Assistant SENCO), 

Mrs Horne (SENCO) and Mrs Cooper (Deputy Headteacher).

 

Our Safeguarding Governor is Maria House.
